Returns Policy

Our returns policy is valid for 28 days from receipt of an item.

 

Items damaged in transit

If you receive an item from us that is damaged, you must inform us within 7 days of receipt. If the package is visibly damaged, please sign for it as damaged. Business customers must inform us within 48 hours of any damaged items.

Items must be returned in their original condition including all accessories, manuals and packaging. Once your damaged item has been received, we will issue a replacement or a full refund to you and reimburse reasonable delivery costs. We will usually arrange collection of goods received as damaged.

Items faulty on arrival

If your item is faulty or dead on arrival, please get in touch as soon as possible. You have 28 calendar days to inform us of the fault. Business customers must inform us within 14 days. Items must be returned in their original packaging including all accessories, manuals and packaging.

Once received, your item will be tested by our dedicated test centre and we will issue a replacement (or a full refund to you if the item cannot be repaired or is no longer available) and reimburse reasonable delivery costs. We will usually arrange collection of faulty goods. Find out how we test returned items.

Due to the nature of products we sell, some products might require additional configuration or require you to follow instructions laid out by the manufacturer. Please follow the manufacturers recommended support channels and obtain a Returns Reference Number for faulty goods. Manufacturer details are shown on the product detail page or can be obtained by contacting us.

Items faulty in warranty period

If any of the goods you have purchased from us develop a fault within their warranty period, but it has been over 28 days since you purchased the item from us, you are entitled to an in-warranty repair. Most manufacturers will provide direct support lines and will handle the repair or replacement of the product directly. We therefore recommend you contact the manufacturer directly. If contacting us about faulty items outside the 28 days of purchase, ensure you have a Fault Reference number obtained from the manufacturer.

Refurbished Items

Refurbished items carry a 30 day warranty from the date of delivery unless otherwise stated on the product page. Any claims after this period will not be accepted.

Returning an unwanted item

You may return any item up to 14 days after delivery. Any items that have a seal must remain unopened. Computer software and games must remain sealed for return and, electronic downloads or any items with which a service subscription starts upon use are non-returnable once you have started use. Although we will aim to process your refund as soon as possible, we can take up to 30 days. If you are having difficulty setting up or getting your product going, get in touch. Please note, business to business orders are not covered by our unwanted returns policy and are non returnable.

All return delivery costs are payable by the customer unless your item arrived faulty or if the order was sent to you as a result of our error.

How we test returned items

All returns to Techdna are tested by our independent test centre in accordance with the procedures laid out by the manufacturer or supplier. If a returned item is found not to be faulty, or has been tampered in a way to invalidate the warranty, our independent test centre will return the item to you at your cost. In cases where the item is not faulty, you will be charged the same postage costs as you originally paid to have the item delivered to you. In cases where FREE Delivery was offered, we will charge 5.99 GBP

We advise you to check computer related gadgets or components on a second machine and to follow any instructions laid out by the manufacturer carefully before returning any goods. We will not refund postage for items found to be in good working order.

We are not responsible for incompatibilities caused by DVD players that have been modified to disable regional encoding or unauthorised modifications to any hardware. Ensure you follow the manufacturers operational instructions. We do not cover defects in goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, used otherwise than as recommended by the manufacturer, failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the manufacturer's approval.

How to request the return of an item

To request the return of an item, login to your Techdna account, click on View Messages and submit a request request along with the reason for return. We reserve the right to reject returns based on the above policy.
